Toxic looks back at 2025 – a year filled with energy, development, and highlights

2025 has been a year where much has fallen into place – thanks to brave customers, engaged colleagues, and a shared drive forward. We have launched, celebrated, learned, and developed together, in a time that has required both focus and long-term thinking. As we now summarize the year, we do so with great joy over what we have accomplished – and with even greater curiosity about everything that awaits in 2026. Here are some of the moments that have made 2025 a year to remember at Toxic.

We have stood firm in a turbulent market

2025 has been a year in which many companies have had to navigate uncertainty — but for us, the direction has been clear. We have continued moving forward in true Toxic fashion, with a focus on long-term thinking, quality and close relationships. By staying true to our values and our way of working, we have been able to grow, develop and create stability for both our customers and our teams. That's something we're very proud of.

A workplace we're proud of

The culture at Toxic is always described as unique — whether you ask employees, customers, partners or visitors who just happen to pass through. But 2025 is a year we're marking with an extra star. Our annual survey shows that every single employee feels treated with respect, that the atmosphere at work is good, that people enjoy the company of their colleagues and that good work is recognised and appreciated. Every employee feels safe to speak up in situations involving bullying, harassment or discriminatory treatment — and perhaps what we're most proud of: every employee feels proud to work at Toxic. That's quite the foundation for a 2026 that breaks new ground.

When we add up our eNPS score and the results of our survey, our figures consistently sit well above the industry average across all areas — and particularly in organisation, leadership, wellbeing and psychological safety. In several areas, we clearly surpass the levels normally considered strong within the service, tech and consulting sectors.

We are so grateful for every single person at Toxic.

New partnerships that drive business, technology and results

Every new partnership brings new technical challenges, complex needs and the opportunity to build smart, sustainable solutions that create business value. It's through challenges that we grow. So we'd like to take a moment to say thank you to some of the customers we have started working with this year: KABE, Kläppen Ski Resort, Nordeka, Svensk Camping, NIBU and Beslag Design — thank you for pushing us forward and for letting us sharpen each other as we build solutions for today and tomorrow. You all have strong brands with high ambitions, and we're proud to be working alongside you. Thank you.

Strong customer focus that delivers measurable results

Our ambition to be the most customer-oriented agency in the Nordics is a long-term strategic goal — and one we can now see tangible results from. Our customer satisfaction and NPS measurements show levels that compare very favourably against industry benchmarks. It's a testament to trust, quality and strong partnerships, and something we take real pride in.

At the same time, we don't stop there. For us, high customer satisfaction isn't an end goal — it's a starting point. Through continuous follow-up, close dialogue and structured improvement work, we keep developing our deliveries and our relationships. Our focus is on long-term partnerships where we create business value, solve real problems and show up as a present, transparent and accountable partner over time.

In the years ahead, we will keep raising the bar — together with our customers.

We celebrate this year's launches with pride

During the year we have completed several digital solutions that strengthen our customers' business, visibility and long-term development. Among others, we have launched websites for Infranord, Vestum, Industrireklam, Pulsen fastigheter and KABE, to name a few.

We have also launched new e-commerce solutions for Multeral, Nilörn, Norrviken and Skandinaviska Områdesskydd and worked closely with Lindab on digital marketing that has delivered clear and measurable results. Every assignment has brought new perspectives, valuable insights and lessons that make us stronger going into future collaborations. To both new and returning customers — thank you for your trust, on big launches and small ones alike. Without you, there is no us.

We have strengthened our presence in Gothenburg with larger premises

During the year we took an important step in our establishment on the west coast by moving into new, larger offices in Gothenburg. The new office sits at the top of Mässans Gata 8 with views over Scandinavium and Ullevi, and offers modern workspaces, generous social areas and a terrace that has become a natural spot for both meetings and creative work.

The investment is part of our long-term commitment to being close to our customers and employees in the region. We share the building with several players in communications and business development, which makes for an inspiring environment.

Umbracokalaset 2025

In October, we hosted Umbracokalaset together with our friends at Obviuse and Umbraco. A full-day conference where developers, designers and digital strategists gathered to explore, learn and celebrate everything Umbraco.

Toxic was represented by Alice Göthberg, who spoke about accessibility in Umbraco projects, Anette Wold Ylenstrand, who shared experiences from one of our e-commerce projects, and Daniel Andersson and Hannes Jagborn Rudfeldt, who showcased our Umbraco Cloud project with Wimso.

We were nominated for the Umbraco Awards for the fourth year in a row

We did it again — nominated for the Umbraco Awards for the fourth consecutive year, this time for our solution for NordGen. A project where we worked together with the customer to build a stable, future-proof platform with a strong focus on editorial usability, efficient workflows and sustainable long-term management.

Reaching the finalist stage year after year — and as the only Swedish agency to do so four years running — is a real statement of strength. It reflects our long experience with Umbraco, our deep technical expertise and our consistent focus on quality in every delivery.

We're proud to be the sharpest agency in the industry when it comes to Umbraco — and even more motivated to keep building cutting-edge platforms together with our customers.

We have welcomed eight digital stars

One of the year's greatest highlights is that we have welcomed eight new colleagues to Toxic. Each one has brought their energy, experience and perspective, and together they have made 2025 both more enjoyable and stronger for us as a team.

We are so happy to have welcomed Josef K, Josef P, Casandra, Peter, Christopher, Sebastian, Petter and Linus on board.

In this article you can read more about their first time with us, what has made them feel at home and which projects have already left their mark.

Customer visits that brought new perspectives

During the year we have had the privilege of visiting several of our customers to produce on-site reportages. These have been meetings where we got to step into our customers' worlds and learn about their history, their present and their future ambitions. Being invited to listen, ask questions and experience the business first-hand is something we regard as a great honour.

We have visited Gnosjö Automatsvarvning, Ravema, Hooks Herrgård, Lantbrukarnas Riksförbund and Golvabia and seen up close the people driving things forward. These meetings give us new perspectives, deepen our relationships and strengthen our understanding of our customers' realities. We are grateful for the trust and look forward to sharing more customer stories in the years ahead.

A year full of celebration and togetherness

Throughout the year we have brought customers and colleagues together for celebrations. In Anderstorp and Gothenburg we invited our customers to after-work events filled with conversation, laughter and really good food, and our annual kickoff gave us fresh energy through workshops, activities and our classic White Party. We also went on a ski trip to Kläppen, celebrated summer with a summer party and attended the Umbraco conference Codegarden.

To round off the year, the whole Toxic crew gathered for a Christmas party and a chance to celebrate everything we have created together. And as we head into a new year, it feels good to carry with us all the togetherness, inspiration and joy that has defined 2025. And with that...

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from your friends at Toxic 💚
