Kläppen Ski Resort chooses Toxic to build a new website in Umbraco Cloud

Kläppen Ski Resort is investing in a new, modern website in Umbraco Cloud to create a more customizable digital experience. The website will provide visitors with the right information at the right time, reflect the facility's offerings and seasonal changes, and integrate with the booking system for a smooth and cohesive customer journey – whether the guest is already on-site in Kläppen or planning their visit.

Following an earlier pre-study, Kläppen has chosen Umbraco Cloud as its platform and Toxic as its partner to build their new website. The new website will be a central part of the guest experience, giving both new and returning visitors easy access to relevant information, services and booking options — tailored to their needs and the season.

"The collaboration with Kläppen has got off to a really great start and we've formed a very positive impression of them. Our values go hand in hand and they got a good feeling about us — which was mutual. With our experience of Umbraco Cloud, we're a strong match for their new website. It's a platform we know inside and out." — Mattias Lyck, Business Developer at Toxic Interactive Solutions

A website built for Kläppen's guests

Kläppen Ski Resort is Sweden's largest family-owned ski resort and a popular destination for families with children, snowboarders and alpine training groups. With 38 slopes, 21 lifts and 37 kilometres of cross-country trails, the resort has something for every type of skier.

The new website will make booking and planning easier while reflecting both the winter and summer seasons. Visitors will be able to choose which season they want to view, to get relevant information based on their planned stay. For guests already on site, that means up-to-date information on snow and slope conditions, restaurant options and events during winter, or activities and opening hours during summer. For those planning their trip, it will be straightforward to book accommodation, ski passes, ski hire and other experiences — with a more cohesive and user-friendly experience overall.

A smooth and cohesive booking experience

One of the biggest investments in the project is integrating the website even more closely with Kläppen's booking system than on the current site. The goal is to give visitors a clearer overview of their bookings and make it even easier to add ski hire, ski school or other activities to their trip — all in one place for a smoother experience.

At the same time, Kläppen's editors will gain greater control over content, making it easier to manage updates, adapt information for different seasons and strengthen the Kläppen brand.

Why Umbraco Cloud?

Following an earlier pre-study, it became clear that Umbraco Cloud was the best choice for Kläppen. The platform enables efficient workflows, automated updates and easy scalability, making it simple to develop the website in line with guests' needs over time.

The user-friendly interface makes it smooth to manage and update content, while the cloud-based solution enables continuous optimisation and improvement of the website based on user behaviour and feedback.

Long-term collaboration for a stronger digital presence

For Toxic, this isn't just about building a new website — it's the start of a long-term partnership that also includes management, optimisation and Paid Social (SMM) to strengthen Kläppen's digital presence.

"We look forward to not just delivering a new website, but also being a long-term partner in Kläppen's digital development. Getting to work with such a strong brand in the skiing world is particularly inspiring — and especially exciting for us at Toxic, where we have no shortage of ski enthusiasts." — Mattias Lyck, Business Developer at Toxic Interactive Solutions

"We look forward to working with Toxic. During the procurement process it quickly became clear that Toxic presented the best option for developing Kläppen's new website. They inspired both confidence and professionalism. The project has got off to a really strong start and I'm impressed by the passion and drive of the team at Toxic." — Lennart Stolpe, Head of Marketing and Communications at Kläppen Ski Resort

Ad copy that converts: what actually makes a difference

Most people who want to improve their ads start off wrong. They rewrite headlines, change images, test new CTAs. And sure, that can have an effect, but that's rarely where the big difference lies. When an ad doesn't convert, it's often because something in the chain after the click isn't working. The ad is just the beginning. This is what actually determines whether an ad converts.

Working with SEO for B2B is a completely different playing field than optimizing for consumers. The decision-making process is longer, more people are involved, and each deal is often worth much more.
