Gnosjö Automatsvarvning – A motor for the industry's future
At Gnosjö Automatsvarvning, the lathes always stand firm, but it is the people and traditions that drive the company forward. In the heart of the Gnosjö spirit, they have built a business that combines decades of craftsmanship with a striving to be at the forefront technologically. Here, precision is not just a requirement – it is a pride that permeates every detail and every workday.
A long history of passion and perseverance
Gnosjö Automatsvarvning has its starting point in a time when small workshops were common in the region. The company was founded with a clear vision and has since grown into a significant player in precision turning. Production manager Ola Davidsson, who has worked at the company for over 40 years, clearly remembers the journey. "We started small, but thanks to the desire to constantly improve, we have been able to grow. Data and analysis have always been an important part for us," says Ola, who has been with the company since he started right after ninth grade.
Specialists in precision turning
Gnosjö Automatsvarvning is today known for its high precision and quality, with a clear specialization in turning. "We focus on what we are best at, and that is turning," explains Linda Fransson, CEO of Gnosjö Automatsvarvning. Their customers, who are primarily in the automotive industry, can be confident in receiving components that meet the strict requirements of the industry. With 35 million produced parts annually, Gnosjö Automatsvarvning has built a reputation as a reliable supplier of high-quality products.

"We want to show the youth what the industry can be"
One of Linda Fransson's passion projects is to inspire young people to seek out the industry. She talks about a recurring initiative where eighth graders get a tour of the company and the opportunity to try VR technology and interactive tasks in production. "Many young people have no idea what the industry means today. We want to show that it is a modern workplace with great opportunities," says Linda. By engaging in the local community and promoting interest in technology, Gnosjö Automatsvarvning hopes to secure a future generation of talent.

A strong foundation for sustainability
Sustainability is deeply rooted in the company's values and way of working. Already in the 90s, the company implemented geothermal heating and circulating systems for cutting oil, and today they are proud to be at the forefront of energy efficiency. "We think long-term and want to minimize our environmental impact," says Ola. With initiatives such as reusing excess heat from production, they have managed to create an energy-efficient operation that inspires others in the industry.
Long-term relationships and close collaboration
For Gnosjö Automatsvarvning, customer relationships are as important as the products they manufacture. Their customer base mainly consists of companies that own their own products, and many of these relationships span several decades. "We work closely with our customers to understand their needs and help them develop better products," says Linda. This commitment to quality and long-term thinking has allowed the company to deliver zero defects to its customers – something that permeates their way of working and the standards they set for themselves.

Daring to be curious and long-term
An important part of the company's success is their willingness to constantly develop and think ahead. Albin Sandberg, production developer, describes their strategy: "It's easy to be long-term in favorable conditions, but we try to maintain that long-term perspective even in tougher times." The employees' loyalty and willingness to develop have been crucial for Gnosjö Automatsvarvning to navigate challenges such as financial crises and pandemics, and today the company stands stronger than ever.
