Svegro faced the challenge that their existing website no longer met the needs of the company or its customers. At the same time, work was underway to develop a new graphic profile, which included a rethinking of product appearance and brand profile. This further emphasized the need for a completely new digital platform. The ambition was to raise brand awareness and create a source of inspiration by offering recipes and lifestyle content, which the old website's structure and functions could not handle effectively. The ultimate goal of the new website was to reflect and convey the amazing 'wow' effect that visitors experience when visiting Svegro's greenhouse located in Färingsö.

About Svegro

Svegro is a family business in its third generation that grows herbs, lettuce, and greens in Sweden. All cultivation is organic and takes place in greenhouses out on Färingsö. Their love for the earth, flavors, and food has been with them since the start in 1960. Svegro’s vision is a Sweden that is completely self-sufficient in fresh greens - all year round.

The solution

In the work on Svegros new website, great emphasis was placed on UX/UI design to create an accessible, user-friendly, and above all, inspiring platform. The goal was for the website to not only attract visitors with its modern design but also encourage them to stay through engaging content. The design and technical layout of Svegro.se have been entirely crafted with the ambition of making the website the obvious choice for those seeking inspiration and knowledge in herbs, cultivation, sustainability, and recipes. The website is built on Umbraco 13, which is a flexible and user-friendly CMS tool.

The website has been optimized to showcase Svegros high-quality images and videos with the aim of enhancing the user experience without compromising search results on search engines. A key feature that has been introduced is the ability for visitors to review and save their favorite recipes. This interactive feature not only contributes to a more personalized experience on the website but also encourages repeat visits. Through these innovative solutions, Svegros' new website has become a dynamic resource that strengthens the brand's image and supports its goal of inspiring a green and sustainable life.

Svegro has 60 years of cultivation tradition. We want to share our knowledge and inspiration and give the web visitor the same wow feeling as when they visit our greenhouse in Färingsö. As we turn off the winding country road and approach Färingsö, it feels like we are stepping into another world. The radiant autumn sun bathes the landscape in a golden glow, and the colorful leaves on the trees frame Svegros greenhouse, which majestically spreads out over the expanses. The fresh air fills the lungs, and the gaze meets rows of green, where herbs and lettuce thrive under careful supervision.
