GARO
GARO needed a new site to take the next step in its digital journey and to offer both of its target groups; the private consumer and the electrical installer a modern digital experience. Toxic built the solution in the e-commerce platform Litium.
The challenge
When the project "New Web Solution" was initiated, the original problem was that the previous site was built on old technology. There were challenges with functionality and outdated design. The site simply did not provide the right conditions for GARO to take the next step in their digitalization, branding, and growth journey. GARO also wanted to find a way to target two different audiences; private consumers and installers, on the same site, and they requested a solution for easy management of media and products.
About GARO
GARO manufactures electrical products for the electrical installation market with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and design. The company started in 1939 in Gnosjö – where the headquarters is still located – but has now expanded to the international market and currently operates in six different countries with 400 employees.
The solution
When the needs map was outlined, the choice fell on Litium because the platform offers good opportunities for more advanced integrations. Toxic provided technical advice regarding DAM systems, which are needed to manage large amounts of media files, where the choice fell on MediaFlow. Together with the business system Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Litium's built-in PIM system, Toxic created a comprehensive solution where all systems communicate with each other and create frictionless flows. We at Toxic also took a strong approach to the design to create a modern, digital user experience and elevate the brand.
The new garo.se is a fast and UX-friendly site where Toxic has created clarity for both the private market and the professional market. The end user can download product information, manuals, and instructions on the new site, as well as find their local retailers. Currently, there is a Swedish and an English version, but with the flexibility that Toxic has built into the solution, GARO has the opportunity to develop and scale up the existing site with, for example, more markets.
The result

GARO can choose to scale up the existing site with, for example, more markets using Litium.
The goal has been to create a website that communicates our brand in a clear and consistent way. It has been important to achieve a clean design with a structure that is tailored to our target audiences. GARO has chosen to invest heavily in digitalization over the past year, and this launch is definitely proof of that.
