AmpSociety

Toxic has had the privilege of collaborating with AmpSociety in their effort to digitize their entire business flow, everything from project support, product configuration, quote management, and order placement of Amp's new charging system Amp5. The result is a new dealer portal, AmpPortal, which makes it easier to plan, configure, and order charging systems. The platform streamlines the work for sellers, dealers, and installers throughout the process, from early planning to final order.

AmpSociety's charging system for electric cars

About AmpSociety

AmpSociety is a fast-growing company in large-scale electric vehicle charging. With a modular and well-thought-out charging system, they offer solutions that are easy to install, scale, and customize according to the customer's needs. The ambition is clear: to make it easy to build and operate the charging infrastructure of the future.

The customer's challenge

The collaboration began with the development of a new website. Quite soon it became clear that the need extended beyond that. To support growth, AmpSociety needed a digital solution that could gather the entire business in one place where retailers and installers could plan projects, configure charging stations, and go all the way to ordering without manual intermediaries. The goal was to create an efficient, scalable, and user-friendly process that kept the entire customer journey together.

Our solution

The next step was the development of a customized reseller portal – a comprehensive solution that digitalizes the entire flow from planning to order. The portal is aimed at companies that sell and install AmpSociety's charging systems. Here, users can create projects, configure charging stations, and build their solution directly in an integrated 3D configurator. Already in the planning phase, the reseller has full control over the project, which creates a smooth transition to ordering when the deal is finalized.

We have had great ambitions for AmpPortal from the very beginning — it is so much more than a traditional webshop. AmpPortal is AmpSociety's digital link to retailers, installers, end customers, and end users. Toxic, with Tobias at the helm, understood our needs early on, and together we have developed a user-friendly solution through an iterative approach and close dialogue, bringing us closer to AmpSociety's long-term goals. The integration of our configurator, AmpStudio, into AmpPortal has been a central part of the project and has placed high demands on both technical problem-solving and creativity. And more is on the way!

- Martin Lindahl, Business Systems Manager at AmpSociety International AB

The result

With the help of the integrated 3D configurator, charging stations can be visually built and planned in detail. All information generated automatically follows through in the order flow, minimizing errors, saving time, and making the order significantly easier.

The portal is also integrated with AmpSociety's business system, Business Central, which means that customer data and order information are synced automatically. A flexible permission system allows different roles – such as salespeople, buyers, and installers – to work on the same project but with different rights.

Tobias Johansson

Our collaboration started with a new website but has grown into something much larger. Now we have taken the next step and are focusing on the entire digital business. The goal is for the customer to be able to configure, build their project, create control, and order their systems through the portal.

The collaboration

The project has developed in close dialogue with AmpSociety and has been shaped iteratively along the way. The agile working method has made it possible to think innovatively, test solutions, and gradually build a platform that truly meets the needs of the business.

"What has made the project especially enjoyable is that it is a new company with high ambitions. It has given us the opportunity to think innovatively, work flexibly, and shape the solution step by step in close dialogue with the customer," says Tobias Johansson.

AmpSociety has a charging system that is already easy to install, and with the portal, we make it just as easy to plan and order. It goes hand in hand – when both installation and ordering work smoothly, the entire process becomes easier for both the customer and the installer. Being part of building a solution that is at the forefront, together with such an experienced and solution-oriented customer, has made the project both enjoyable and developmental.
