Golvabia had basically all product information in their business system Jeeves. They wanted to work more personalized towards their target groups. They also wanted to be able to work more on distinguishing content in a way that their target groups can easily find what they are looking for. Toxic was tasked with developing a solution that meets these needs.

The challenge

The need to separate and simplify the flow between business systems and PIM was clear. We at Toxic recommended Norce PIM (Product Information Management) and Umbraco Cloud as a headless CMS. We also saw Norce as a natural e-commerce engine for the future.

About Golvabia

Golvabia is an expert in flooring, textiles, and ceramics. They are both a wholesaler and a manufacturer of tiles & ceramics, wooden floors, and textile floors. Their own production consists exclusively of the manufacturing of wooden floors. The company was founded as early as 1949 and has its origins in Anderstorp, Småland. At Golvabia, the focus is on long-term and sustainable solutions where knowledge, quality, and design go hand in hand.

We experienced limitations in managing data for our 3,500 articles and need a modern system to simplify the work of enriching the products. We have looked at several PIM solutions and concluded that Norce PIM is a perfect fit for us because the solution feels free and customizable. We currently use Umbraco as our CMS, and that combination also feels very proven and stable.

The result

With a new PIM system, Golvabia can now enrich the limited information coming from their business system (Jeeves) and create a dynamic product catalog that makes it easy to showcase and present the range in an inspiring way. Toxic has built a solution where the PIM also helps to facilitate and minimize the amount of manual work required to maintain and update the product range.

This will enable bulk updates across entire product groups with one click, instead of manually changing all products. As part of the delivery, Toxic has also developed a new modern and inspiring website for consumers and resellers who want to search and filter in their unique way. The solution is fully integrated with Jeeves and thus reflects the product information in a seamless manner.

Technology

For the frontend, Toxic uses Umbraco Cloud, which serves as a headless solution for Norce where all business logic and product data resides. The website has been customized to meet the user's need to easily find their product. With Umbraco CMS, we get a comprehensive solution based on API-first and SaaS technology, allowing us to work dynamically with different technologies.
