Technical advantages and the collaboration behind Länsförsäkringar Fastighetsförmedling's digital platform

We are proud of our close collaboration with Länsförsäkringar Fastighetsförmedling. Together, we have created a modern and user-friendly website in Umbraco that clearly presents property information and simplifies both the buying and selling process. Here you get an insight into the collaboration and the technical solutions behind the platform. “The goal was to create a solution that truly facilitates for Länsförsäkringar Fastighetsförmedling and their customers – and I think we have succeeded well with that,” says Karl Ekberg, system developer at Toxic.
Flexibility and security with Umbraco
Umbraco was chosen as the CMS because it is both flexible and user-friendly. With a headless architecture and a standalone Azure solution, we were able to create a stable and easy-to-use platform for Länsförsäkringar Fastighetsförmedling. Using Umbraco's Content API, information from Vitec Express, their estate agency system, can be handled efficiently and securely, simplifying the integrations.
"We can tailor the solution to the customer's needs and develop new features in a flexible way," says Andreas Samuelsson, web developer at Toxic.
Umbraco is appreciated by both editors and developers. Editors can easily create and update content, while developers have considerable freedom to build custom integrations. This makes the platform both straightforward to use and ready for future needs.
Optimised processes and fast performance
A central part of the project was creating an efficient integration between the Vitec estate agency system and Umbraco. Updates in Vitec automatically send notifications to Azure, where they are processed and synchronised with the database, speeding up response times and optimising search functions through caching. To further improve the experience, Image Handler is used to adapt images for different devices and load them faster through client-side caching.
"With Image Handler, image size and quality can be adjusted automatically to suit the user's device, delivering both faster load times and better image quality," Andreas explains. Through automatic data synchronisation from Vitec, property information is always kept up to date, while local storage in the database ensures high performance and fast access.
Forward-looking and customer-focused development
We have worked with Länsförsäkringar Fastigheter for many years, and the collaboration is characterised by transparency and open dialogue. Weekly meetings with their webmaster ensure continuous development, while two annual workshops provide space for creative development areas and future planning. We work with an annual budget that prioritises between projects and ensures resources are used effectively. A dedicated team of around four people works continuously with the customer, which has contributed to a long-lasting and successful partnership.
HubSpot is used to manage technical support cases related to the website, contributing to fast response times and efficient collaboration. "We have a really good dialogue with the customer. They are both professional and down-to-earth, which makes the collaboration very smooth," says Karl.
Fast and clear communication has been essential. "By always responding quickly, even when solutions take time, we have built trust and established a good dialogue with the customer," Andreas adds.
Pontus Venström, Web Manager at Länsförsäkringar Fastighetsförmedling, particularly highlights the close collaboration and how ideas are turned into practice:
"We have a strong and close working relationship with Toxic. We have a lot of ideas, and Toxic is good at putting them into the right context and then developing the end result together with us. Our service Spekulantkollen is a clear example of a successful collaboration, where the foundation and idea from our side was developed into a smooth and well-defined flow for the customer, with real conversions that lead to business."
Next steps
Further development of the platform takes place in close collaboration with Länsförsäkringar Fastighetsförmedling. The focus is on continuously improving functionality and creating a solution that meets both current and future needs. Our shared goal is to keep strengthening the platform to give users an optimal experience. "Working with a customer that has such high ambitions inspires us to always strive to deliver our best," Karl concludes.
