Nature, adventure, and the future – Isaberg creates experiences for everyone
When you turn in towards Isaberg Mountain Resort, you are greeted by a view that breathes adventure and the tranquility of nature. The mountain rises majestically in the background, surrounded by forests and the sparkling lake. The atmosphere is inviting, and everywhere you see signs of the many opportunities that await – bike paths, hiking trails, ski facilities, high ropes course, pump track, disc golf, and the toboggan run that winds down the slope – yes, the list of activities is long. "Here it's about getting closer to nature, whether through adventure or calm activities," says Louise Söderlund, CEO of Isaberg. Nature is the heart of every experience, and Isaberg creates memories for life in every corner of the facility.
"We saw the opportunity to grow and secure the future – regardless of the weather"
Over the past two decades, Isaberg has undergone an impressive development. Some of the key milestones include the construction of the high-altitude course and lift-assisted cycling, as well as the investment in the toboggan run. "Building the toboggan run was a major investment, but it has become a real success with 120,000 guest rides per year," says Louise. Since the weather often dictates operations, Isaberg has had to find new and innovative ways to attract guests year-round. "We cannot rely solely on cold and snowy winters, so we have broadened our offerings with activities that work regardless of the weather. This has made us less vulnerable and secured the business," explains Louise. By offering experiences such as cycling, tobogganing, and adventure even during the warmer months, Isaberg has created a stable and flexible business model that meets guests' needs throughout the year.

A springboard for tomorrow's talents
Isaberg currently has about forty permanent employees and up to 110 temporary employees during peak season, where many young people get their first job. "We take a great responsibility in being role models for young people entering the labor market through us," says Louise, adding: "Many start here in their teens and stay for many years, which creates a nice community." This makes Isaberg an important gateway to working life for young people in the region, while they are quickly given responsibilities and authority when they show potential.

Outdoor life in harmony with innovation and tradition
Isaberg's vision has always been to promote outdoor life and preserve nature. "We closely follow trends and try to stay at the forefront. For example, we were early to open the lift for cycling," says Louise. She adds that they regularly discuss in the board to ensure that their development is sustainable and in line with their core values: down-to-earth, innovative, adventurous, and together. A concrete example of this was the decision to close the moose park because it no longer aligned with their vision of adventure and innovation.
A hospitality that puts the guest's experience at the center
"What makes us unique is that we offer everything under one roof – accommodation, food, and plenty of activities," says Louise. At Isaberg, they strive for every guest to feel welcome and have a personal experience, which is also reflected in their commitment to good hospitality. An example of their creativity is the newly built giant staircase with 250 steps, where children receive encouraging prompts from small giants all the way up to the top, where they finally meet a "real" giant at the top. "We want both children and adults to enjoy their time with us because when the children are happy, the parents are happy," Louise shares.

“We strive to do everything we can to protect the amazing environment we operate in”
As a foundation without profit-driven owners, Isaberg's surplus goes directly back into the operations. Louise explains: “We have no owners, our money goes directly to developing outdoor life and protecting nature.” Significant initiatives have been taken to reduce the facility's environmental impact, including solar panels, electric cars, and environmentally friendly diesel in the snow groomers. “We strive to do everything we can to protect the amazing environment we operate in,” says Louise.

A place that leaves an impression – so does it with us
It is hard to leave Isaberg without feeling a strong connection to both the place and the people who run it. Here, they have genuinely managed to combine the power of nature with modern innovation to create experiences that inspire. Whether it is about thrilling adventures or peaceful moments in nature, Isaberg has become a destination where visitors' wishes are fulfilled. As Louise says: “We want to give our guests memories for life – and we do it with love for both nature and outdoor life." With those words, we drive out from the parking lot and the fresh air, convinced that we will return soon.

Web and digital marketing for Isaberg
When we got in touch with Isaberg, they had two different websites; one for the Isabergstoppen Foundation and one for Restaurant Höganloft. To meet the growing needs and improve the customer journey, they needed a solution that could unify their different systems and create a more dynamic and user-friendly website.
The new web solution is built on Umbraco where Isaberg has the ability to customize the content by season in a smooth and easy way. We have also helped Isaberg drive traffic to their website through Growth Marketing.
