SP Machines

Together with SP Maskiner, we have launched a new webshop built on Umbraco Commerce that addresses previous technical challenges and delivers a fast and user-friendly experience. The solution handles orders for spare parts and aggregates smoothly and is built to meet SP Maskiner's current and future needs. When SP Maskiner later upgraded its business system from Monitor G4 to Monitor G5, they also took the opportunity to modernize the integration solution. With EntityFlow as the integration engine, a more scalable and robust integration platform was created that ensures stable data flows between the webshop and the business system.

Customer's challenge

SP Maskiner's previous webshop became outdated, slow, and inefficient – which created problems for both customers and internal processes. Customers reported that it was difficult to place orders due to low speed and technical errors. A new, modern webshop was needed to improve the experience and ensure smooth sales.

At the same time, the integration solution needed to evolve in line with the system environment. SP Maskiner had an existing integration with Monitor G4, but in connection with the upgrade to Monitor G5, the integration layer needed to be updated. The goal was to reduce the risk during the system transition, ensure stable data transfer between the systems, and create a solution that is easier to develop and maintain over time.

About SP Maskiner

SP Maskiner is a world-leading supplier of Swedish-made harvesting heads that fit all brands and models of harvesters. Founded in 1978 in the small Småland village of Lillarp, the company has revolutionized forestry with innovative solutions and high quality. With the motto "Always Ahead," SP Maskiner combines performance, reliability, and sustainability to meet the demands of the future and help customers stay ahead.

Our solution

The new webshop is built with Umbraco Commerce and is designed to combine high performance, user-friendliness, and modern features with a focus on meeting SP Maskiner's specific needs. The webshop handles both spare parts and aggregate sales and offers various modules that can be customized according to the user's permissions.

The permission system allows control over which users can purchase products, access service bulletins, or gain access to a library of drawings and technical documentation. Through integration with the business system Monitor G4, customer orders are automatically updated, giving SP Maskiner detailed insight into sales statistics and order history in real-time, which was previously not possible with the earlier web solution.

In connection with the upgrade to Monitor G5, Toxic also helped SP Maskiner upgrade the integration solution. With EntityFlow as the integration engine, a more structured and future-proof integration platform was created that ensures stable data transfer between the systems.

The centralized integration architecture allows for the reuse of integrations, reduces dependencies between systems, and enables further development without creating complex point-to-point integrations.

Stefan Sörell

The new webshop is not just an improvement – it is a platform for SP Maskiner's continued growth and development. It is fast, reliable, and flexible enough to adapt to future demands.

The result

The new webshop has become a central part of SP Maskiner's operations. Customers highlight speed, simplicity, and the improved user experience as major advantages. For the company, the solution has meant more efficient processes, automatically updated customer orders, and better control over sales statistics through the seamless integration with Monitor G4.

Through the upgrade to Monitor G5 and the integration with EntityFlow, SP Maskiner has also gained a more scalable and manageable integration solution. The new architecture makes it easier to develop new integrations, while ensuring the stability of data flows between the systems.

The webshop is robust and flexible, making it well-suited to meet future needs. It has strengthened SP Maskiner's ability to meet customer demands and continue delivering high-quality products and services.
